Step 1: Have you reviewed the City’s Apply for a Business Licence webpage? There, we walk you through the steps to make sure you have everything you need to swiftly move through our online application process.

To apply, you will need the following:
1. Know your Business Licence Category.
2. Know your business address, contact information and business start date.
3. Know the number of employees within your business (including full-time, part-time and seasonal).
4. Understand intercommunity licensing regulations and know if you require one.
5. Be ready for your document upload if required (ie. floor plans, parking site plans, home-occupation waivers, professional registrations, etc.). Contractors and trades: Be ready to upload a copy of your Trade Qualification Numbers.

Payment
Have a credit card ready to pay the application fee, which is required to complete the application: Minimum $30 fee up to $265 for the Short-Term Rental High Occupancy licence (a third party credit card processing fee will also apply). All application fees are non-refundable. Please note: debit credit cards are not accepted.

Processing
To ensure your application can be processed as quickly as possible, provide accurate information and a full description of your business.
